Why I can catch fish at Smith Mountain Lake

Why I can catch fish at the lake is because i am a native of the area and i know the habits of the fish such as the secret holes they like to lay in. One such area would be Indian Point area towards beaver creek, the fish can be in 2 feet of water to 80 feet, plus i have been fishing for over 30 years for these fish.

 
Today I went out took 3 friends we caught 18 fish it was great, took some video on my phone and trying to figure out how to get it to you. Also have video on sandisk i should have already mailed to you, give me a address and ill mail it this week, also i think i should start loading alot to facebook seems thats working for alot of guides around here, thanks

Winter fishing is a great time to get out of the house and go striper fishing

The fishing is great and can be fast and furious, the seagulls are diving on bait that the fish push up out of the depths. Live bait fishing and jigging is the way to go. During this time of year you dont have to get out to early and the fish can be caught all day long. So winter time ia a great time to get off the couch plus you get discounted rates

February fishing update

I took a adventure to tennessee and caught some nice fish on planer boards, although the fishing was slow we caught some fish from 18 pounds to 31 pounds.

Fishing at SML is getting better with water temperature warming fish are coming up shallow more often and are catching fish from 8 to 16 pounds , looking for a warm march so people looking to fish should give us a call.
